BMW 2012 Event Info

The BMW St.Lucia International Triathlon 2012, St. Lucia’s inaugural triathlon event will take place in 2012 at The Landings Pigeon Island. Date will be announced soon.  Triathletes will assemble at the BMW St. Lucia Triathlon intent on testing their skills against the newly designed course and claiming bragging rights along with the cash and Trophies up for grabs.

The new race course is a challenging one and traverses the Pigeon Island area next to The Landings in the north of the Island. The course has been finalised and will be concentrated on the beach off  The Landings and the north of the island.

The race will be on partially closed roads so everyone can focus on having a safe race with lots of spectator friendly areas alongside the course. Categories will include an Olympic, Sprint and Try-a-tri events for the adults as well as Junior categories. A 5k open fun run is also planned for same day. We expect a large crowd to come out and cheer the participants as well as enjoy the Food Village and beach entertainment planned for the Sunday afternoon. Leading up to the main event will be a number of Triathlon training and practise clinics to help athletes with their preparation.
